“From the Fires” is the debut EP from American rock band Greta Van Fleet. Released in November 2017, the EP features four songs: “Safari Song,” “Edge of Darkness,” “Flower Power,” and “A Change Is Gonna Come.”
One of the standout tracks on the EP is “Safari Song,” which showcases the band’s bluesy, hard-rock sound. The song opens with a driving guitar riff and quickly builds to a powerful chorus, with lead singer Josh Kiszka delivering a strong vocal performance. The band’s chemistry is evident throughout the track, with each member contributing to the overall energy and momentum of the song.
Another highlight on the EP is the band’s cover of Sam Cooke’s “A Change Is Gonna Come.” Greta Van Fleet’s version of the classic soul track stays true to the original while adding their own signature rock sound.
